Welcome
March 30, 2024 - 72% through Alex Edward's Let's Go. Without the source code, it's easy to make a mistake that has you hunting for where you went wrong. I guess I should just stop as soon as my eyes start getting heavy. Gotta be bright eyed and bushy tailed to keep out of trouble.
I'm not sure how long this will take. There's an on again, off again effort to move to a different house. Hopefully a u-haul shows up on Monday. Zingwaldo needs to have faster forward progress than what I'm offering to date.
March 21, 2024 - 50% through Alex Edward's Let's Go. I like the book. I don't completely understand what I'm doing, but I'm getting the idea. I might have to go through a few times to more clearly understand and will need to keep it handy as a reference.
I have to stop getting side-tracked while doing this exercise. I've also been watching ThePrimeagen videos. It's hard to not watch his stuff. Try as I might, I watch his videos instead of finishing Let's Go far too often.
As well as other distractions. I took a break from Twitter/X. It's like walking through 42 Street, pre-Guiliani. It's no fun and you wonder what the heck happened to everyone. I've started using Threads. It's not bad, but it's low on features. Not nearly as mean. Lots of folks there proud to be somewhat woke. Which is a good thing.
I'm getting a little more sure every day that Zingwaldo will be able to be implemented and once running, be very, very, very successful. It's filling a niche that nobody knows exists.
March 13, 2024 - The more I think about it, the more it's possible that Zingwaldo may become the most important technology ever developed. Top 20 for sure.
That's if I can figure out how to code it. I'm learning with Alex Edward's Let's Go. I'm just getting started, about 25% through the lessons. This seems a lot like what I'm looking for, as far as learning.
A few spins through with this book and I should have a much better idea of how to get there from here.
March 7, 2024 - Going to try to speed-read 100 Go Mistakes and How To Avoid Them. I'd like to avoid 100 Go problems, how about you?
I just finished doing the Go By Example list of exercises. It's fair to say that after going through them, I didn't understand half of what was being taught. Hopefully, the next time I go through them, I'll figure it out.
One problem is that I have an old brain that's getting older by the day. A lot of this stuff isn't going to stick as easily as it would have 20, 30, 40 years ago. The good news is that there are so many resources available to substitute for the old brain. I don't have to remember everything.
March 5, 2024 - The re-learning continues. Daily education and tutorials in golang, htmx, and couchdb are going strong. Should have a mini-prototype by the end of the month that produces ZTUs, the Zingwaldo Trading Units.
It might take a little longer, as this month the move to a reserve based home is underway. Add to that, the long struggle to overcome long-covid.
ZTUs are coming.
Everyone will get them, if they want.
